La Joya ISD Community Rallies Behind Coyotes and Lobos During Exciting Playoff Celebration

La Joya, TX - La Joya ISD was filled with playoff pride Wednesday evening as students, families, staff, and community members packed La Joya ISD PACK Stadium for a high-energy Community Baseball Party honoring the La Joya High School Coyotes and Palmview High School Lobos during their incredible postseason runs.

The celebration brought together supporters from across the district for an unforgettable evening of school spirit, unity, and excitement as both programs prepare to compete in the Regional Semi-Finals of the UIL Baseball State Playoffs. Featuring live entertainment, food, games, activities, music, and opportunities for fans to meet players and take photos, the event transformed PACK Stadium into a sea of red, black, and playoff energy.

Families, students, alumni, and community members proudly represented their schools while cheering on the student-athletes who continue to make La Joya ISD proud through their determination, teamwork, and success on the field.

“This was an incredible night for our district and community,” said Joe Peña, Executive Director of Athletics for La Joya ISD. “To see so many families, students, staff members, and supporters come together to celebrate these teams speaks volumes about the pride and unity that exists throughout La Joya ISD. Our athletes have worked tremendously hard to reach this point, and the support shown by the community means everything to them.”

The excitement continues as both teams officially begin Round 3 playoff action in the Regional Semi-Finals.

The La Joya High School Coyotes will face Dripping Springs in Game 1 on, May 14, at 7 p.m. at Calallen High School in Corpus Christi.

Meanwhile, the Palmview High School Lobos will take on Boerne Champion in Game 1 tonight, May 14, at 7 p.m. at Sinton High School’s Gene Kasprzyk Field.

As both teams continue their playoff journeys, La Joya ISD remains proud of the dedication, resilience, and excellence demonstrated by its student-athletes, coaches, and programs. The district encourages the entire community to continue showing their support as the Coyotes and Lobos represent La Joya ISD on one of Texas high school baseball’s biggest stages.
